VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI — July 18, 2026 — Vicksburg native Martin “Lay ’Em Down” Brown gave his hometown crowd another reason to celebrate Friday night, earning a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over veteran boxer Cleotis Pendarvis in the eight-round main event at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

The victory improved Brown’s professional record to 9-0, as the undefeated fighter continued his rise in professional boxing in front of family, friends, and supporters from the Vicksburg community.

Brown, the reigning WBN Intercontinental Super Middleweight Champion, stepped up in weight for the highly anticipated matchup against the experienced Pendarvis, competing for the vacant WBN International Light Heavyweight Title.
