Stevie Morgan Crushes Julia Cassiani in First Round to Capture WBN World Title
CÚCUTA, COLOMBIA — American contender Stevie Morgan (16-2, 15 KOs) delivered a spectacular first-round knockout over Julia Cassiani (6-4) on March 30, 2025, to claim the WBN World Title in Cúcuta, Colombia.
Fighting for the second time since her decision loss to Amanda Serrano, Morgan continued her self-declared “Vengeance Tour” with a devastating performance that left no doubt she’s back in world title form. Cassiani was dropped three times in the opening round, the final knockdown coming from a crushing right hand that ended the bout in emphatic fashion.
“This fight was about redemption,” Morgan said afterward. “I wanted to remind everyone who I am — the power, the pressure, and the purpose. This is just the beginning of my climb back to the very top.”
Morgan’s win marks her first stoppage since returning to action and cements her position as one of the most dangerous fighters in the division. Her team praised the performance as the perfect statement piece in her comeback campaign.
“Stevie showed poise, power, and focus,” said Coach Monyette Flowers. “She’s rebuilding the right way — and nights like this prove she’s still one of the elite.”
With the WBN belt secured and momentum on her side, Morgan’s vengeance tour is set to continue later this year, with talks underway for a major summer showcase in the United States.
